Summer Staff - Organized Camp

Position Objective:

The Conference Center High School Program Specialist is responsible for overseeing and implementing all High School program elements under the leadership of the Conference Center Youth Lead and in conjunction with the Youth Staff, to equip staff with the support and tools to implement a holistic, excellent and developmentally appropriate program that leads high school students one step closer to Jesus, in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.


Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Responsible to work as a team with the Youth Lead to explore, create, and coordinate program development and implementation for high school aged conferees in attendance at family camps.
  • Responsible for coordinating and implementing all set up and tear down of program elements.
  • Responsible to work with the Conference Center Junior High Program Specialist to ensure all joint program elements are prepared and implemented according to plan.
  • Share in the responsibilities of keeping youth areas clean and orderly.
  • Accountable for implementation and documentation of program inventory and evaluation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Conference Center Youth Lead.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • None



  • High school graduate.
  • At least 2 years college experience preferred.
  • Must be CPR/First Aid Certified.

Work Experience:


  • Prior experience working with junior high and high school students.
  • Prior experience with youth programming preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Ability to articulate the gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
  • Ability to demonstrate a personal, committed and thought-through faith in Christ.
  • Positive role model, listener, enthusiastic leader, and friend. 
  • Possess creativity, willingness to learn and ability to plan and implement program.
  • Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.
  • Must have strong relational skills and high energy to engage with youth.
  • Able to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.

Key Job Accountabilities

Physical Demands:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and hiking.

  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation, or valid work permit, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
