Summer Staff - Organized Camp

Position Objective:

The Media Assistant works with the Creative Services team, assisting in summer media management (photo & video) and support, special video projects, and group photos in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.


Key Job Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for organizing and categorizing video media from all camp centers for future marketing purposes.
  • Works with the Summer Staff Photographers and Videographers regarding production help and support, digitizing, and equipment checkout.
  • Provide transport(with camp vehicle) for Summer Staff Photographers and Videographers to their respective shooting locations during the week.
  • Responsible for the Production of Group Photos at Ponderosa Lodge, Group and Cabin Photos at Redwood Camp and staff photos for each camp center.
  • Provide constructive feedback and tips to videographers and photographers during Monday Morning staff meetings.
  • Create, develop and support video needs that arise outside of the summer staff videographers scope.
  • Responsible for authoring, mastering, duplication, and delivery of flashdrives and publish highlight videos online.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • None



  • High School Graduate.
  • College experience in Media or related field.

Work Experience:


  • Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, After Effects.
  • Prefer at least one year of Mount Hermon summer staff experience in Creative Services.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Basic graphic design and desktop publishing layout skills required.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and ability to follow through with tasks.
  • Must be observant and attentive.
  • Able to articulate gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
  • Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.

Key Job Accountabilities

Physical Demands:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and hiking for extended periods of time. 

Additional Requirements:

  • Will be assigned a secondary role as required for all Conference Center Summer Staff.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements. 

  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation, or valid work permit, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
