Overview

Summer Staff - Organized Camp

Position Objective:

 

Graphics Assistant works with the Creative Services team, assisting in departmental projects regarding the production of print, web and video graphic pieces in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.

 

Key Job Accountabilities:      

  • Responsible to assist in creative series support for program team.
  • Create graphic elements for website, emails, and presentations.
  • Works with Senior Designer regarding design, layout and marketing issues.
  • Works with print layout and art production for external and internal pieces.
  • Responsible to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Qualifications

General Qualifications:

 

A mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith.  Fully in accord with Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs.  Committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization.  Of strong moral character and integrity.

 

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

 

  • High school graduate.
  • College experience.

Work Experience:

 

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, mainly, In-Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Basic graphic design and publishing layout skills required.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and ability to follow through with tasks.
  • Must be observant, attentive and detail oriented.
  • Must adjust well to a fluid schedule when a project calls for additional assistance.
  • Able to articulate gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
  • Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.

Key Job Accountabilities

Physical Demands:

 

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and hiking.
