Overview

Summer Staff - Organized Camp

Position Objective:

The Audio-Visual/Sound Technician is responsible for recording, editing, and duplicating messages to provide conferees with a clear access to messages and events as well as recordings for future use in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.

 

Key Job Accountabilities:

           

  • Responsible for operating the sound booth during summer general sessions
  • Responsible for recording, editing, and duplicating summer speaker messages
  • Provide quality A/V services to the events taking place at Mount Hermon. This includes mixing live music, providing support, and fulfilling requests.
  • Working with the A/V team to upgrade and repair equipment as needed.
  • Manage media/CD sales.
  • Assist IT Manager with special projects which may include running network cable, troubleshooting network or server issues, etc.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

  • None.

Qualifications

General Qualifications:

A mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith.  Fully in accord with Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs.  Committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization.  Of strong moral character and integrity.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • High school graduate.
  • Some college preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Experience mixing sound preferred.
  • Experience working with sound recording and mixing equipment preferred.
  • An understanding of Mount Hermon preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Must be a self-starter with ability to see projects and tasks through to completion.
  • Must be prepared and comfortable with a large degree of repetitious tasks.
  • Must be organized and flexible, being able to adjust to challenging situations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.
  • Imaginative, passionate, teacher with the ability to think up and follow through.
  • Emotionally mature and willing to accept responsibility.
  • Must be prepared to problem solve on the job.
  • A heart to server wherever and whoever is in need.

Key Job Accountabilities

Physical Demands: 

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting and lifting up to 40 lbs. of equipment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Will be assigned a secondary role as required for all Summer Staff.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation, or valid work permit, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
